“you’re everything and i’m nothing” is a full length 11 track album from crimes, and was IMAGINED AT a CATCH UP between long time friends, songwriters and musicians Andrew Wright and Ellis Atherton. both held the view that within their back catalogue of songs was a rough diamond or two that deserved some love and attention more than what had previously been forthcoming, so they set about scratching the itch.  

NOW IN JANUARY ’25 With the release of YEAIN, Andrew Wright delivers HIS second full length album in less than six months after co-writing and producing the recently released ALTER BOY debut album “I DON’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE”. Throw an Australian national tour with that same band into the mix AMONGST A NUMBER OF OTHER MUSICAL COMMITMENTS, and it marks a mammoth YEAR from the Western Australian based producer and song writer.
This time around with CRIMES, Andrew demonstrates the genuine depth in his talent and adaptability through a brooding, guitar rich collection of tracks that intertwine with the production aesthetic HE has become known for from his work with ALTER BOY most recently. 

vocally, this performance from Atherton sits right there in his sweet spot with both delivery and lyrics. these are rich lyrical tapestries, AND there’S a vulnerable narrative here that provides depth and authenticity for listeners to connect with. you CAN’T HELP BUT BE drawn into his world. IT IS WITHIN THE SONG EVERYNOTHING WHERE ATHERTON REVEALS THE ORIGIN OF THE ALBUM TITLE. TO declare “You’re everything and I’m nothing” SO FREELY AND without a hint of self-deprecation or sarcasm IS A LITTLE DISTURBING TO BE FAIR. It is a bold AND CONFIDENT declaration making you want to know if he OFFERS THIS AS HIS REALITY OR HIS TRUTH, or is he PREPARING HIMSELF FOR A WAR? eITHER WAY, IT IS A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OF THE TENSION THAT EXISTS THROUGHT THIS QUITE EXCELLENT ALBUM FROM CRIMES.
